Sheet Label Size Reference

Sheet labels (printed on A4 or Letter paper) need template dimensions matching the physical sheet. Reference tables for popular Avery models, with general guidance for any brand.

Verified

Sheet labels — the kind printed on A4 or Letter paper using a regular inkjet or laser printer — need your template dimensions to match the physical sheet exactly. The tables below cover the most common Avery models, but the same workflow applies to any brand.

How to set up a sheet label template

  1. Create a new template in BarcodeMan.
  2. Set the Paper Size to Letter (216mm × 279mm) or A4 (210mm × 297mm) to match your sheets.
  3. Set the Label Size and Margins from the reference table below (or your brand’s spec sheet).
  4. Design your label content.
  5. When printing, select the matching paper size in the print dialog. Set Scale to 100% and Margins to None.

Tip: BarcodeMan’s template editor has brand presets for Avery, Brother, Dymo, and Zebra. Pick the brand and model from the dropdown — dimensions are filled in automatically. The tables below are for cases where the preset isn’t available or you want to verify.

Other brands

The workflow for non-Avery sheet labels is the same — only the dimensions change.

  1. Check if your brand is in BarcodeMan’s preset list (Avery, Brother, Dymo, Zebra). If yes, pick the model and you’re done.
  2. Otherwise, find your label dimensions from the brand’s spec sheet, or measure a single label with a ruler.
  3. Enter the dimensions manually in the template editor with the “I want to set manually” option.

Tips

  • Measure first: If you’re unsure about your model, measure one label with a ruler to confirm the dimensions before printing a full sheet.
  • Fine-tune margins: Different printers have slight variations. Adjust margins by ±0.25mm if labels are slightly misaligned.
  • Use millimeters: Switch to mm in the template editor for more precise measurements.
  • Test print on plain paper: Print one sheet on regular paper first. Hold it over your label sheet to check alignment before using the real labels.

Avery model lookup

If your Avery model isn’t in the table above:
