Display Product Variants with Filter Options

When you link a text element to Variant, it shows all variant option values by default (e.g., "Red / Large"). You can hide specific options so the label shows only what you want.

When you link a text element to Variant, it shows all variant option values by default (e.g., "Red / Large"). You can hide specific options so the label shows only the ones you want.

How to hide an option

  1. In the template editor, select a Text element.
  2. Set Link ToVariant.
  3. Under Variant options to hide, click + Add option name and type the option name you want to hide (e.g. Color, Size, Material).
  4. That option is removed from this element; anything not listed stays visible. To show it again, remove the tag.

Type the option name, not the value. Add Color (the option), not Red (the value). For a drink with an Ice option, add Ice to hide it — not No ice.

Examples

Product has options: Color, Size, Material.

  • Show only Color → add Size and Material to hide → label shows "Red"
  • Show Color + Size → add Material to hide → label shows "Red / Large"

Tips

  • Add multiple text elements, each hiding different options — e.g. one element showing Color and another showing Size, positioned separately on the label.
  • The separator between options is " / " by default.
  • The option name must match your store's option name exactly (e.g. Color vs Colour). A name that doesn't match is simply ignored, so the option keeps showing.
