What it does

The Templates page shows all your label templates. A template controls the layout and content of your labels. You need at least one template before you can print labels.

How to use it

1. Go to Templates from the left sidebar in Shopify admin, or click the back arrow in the template editor.
2. You will see a table with all your templates. Each row shows the template name, description, usage type (Product label or Address label), notes, and the last updated date.
3. Use the Search template box to find a template by name.
4. Use the Sort by button to change the order of templates.
5. Click a template name to open it in the template editor.

How to create a template

1. On the Templates page, click Create product label template or Create address label template.
2. This opens the template editor where you can design your label.

How to duplicate a template

1. Find the template you want to copy in the list.
2. Click the Duplicate icon on the right side of that row.

How to delete a template

1. Find the template you want to remove.
2. Click the Delete icon on the right side of that row.
3. You can also select multiple templates using the checkboxes and delete them together.

Good to know

• There are two types of templates: Product label and Address label. Product label templates use product data (name, price, barcode). Address label templates use order and customer data.
• You can have as many templates as you want.
• Templates are sorted by last updated date by default.
• Each template shows its usage type so you can quickly tell if it is for products or addresses.
