What it does

After you add products or orders to your printing queue and select a template, you click “Generate labels” to create your labels. This page explains what happens next and what options you have.

Step by step

  1. Add products (or orders) to your printing queue.
  2. Select a template from the dropdown.
  3. Click Generate [N] labels.
  4. A modal appears with printing options:
    • Skip Labels — Enter a number to skip the first N labels. This is useful when you are reprinting on a partially used label sheet. For example, if you already used 3 labels on a sheet, set skip to 3 so printing starts at the 4th position.
    • Clear After Print — Turn this on to automatically empty your printing queue after the labels are generated.
    • Download or Print — Choose whether to download the labels as a PDF file, or open them directly in your browser’s print dialog.
  5. Click to confirm. The app starts generating your labels.
  6. You will see a loading indicator while the PDF is being created. This usually takes a few seconds.
  7. When done, the PDF opens in a new tab or downloads to your computer.

First-time printing

The first time you print, the app shows a Printing Tips popup with helpful hints. This only appears once.

Good to know

  • PDF generation timeout: If your labels take more than 25 seconds to generate, the process will time out. This can happen with very complex templates or slow network connections. Try simplifying your template or printing fewer labels at a time.
  • Pop-up blocker: The PDF opens in a new browser tab. If your browser blocks pop-ups, you will not see the PDF. Go to Settings and turn on “Ignore browser pop-ups blocker”, or allow pop-ups for the app in your browser settings.
  • Skip Labels is only useful for sheet labels (not roll labels). It skips positions on the sheet so you can reuse a partially printed sheet.
  • Clear After Print saves you from manually clearing the queue. If you turn it off, your queue stays so you can print again.
  • The “Generate labels” button shows the total number of labels. This includes the quantity you set for each item. For example, 5 products × 2 copies each = 10 labels.
