Print your first product label

Before you start

You need three things:

1. A label printer connected to your computer (Zebra, Brother QL, or any thermal printer)
2. Labels loaded in the printer
3. At least one product in Shopify with a barcode (SKU or UPC)

Step 1 — Open the Label Designer

From the Barcodeman app sidebar, click Label Designer. You will see the template picker.

Step 2 — Pick a template

Choose a template that matches the physical label size in your printer. If unsure, start with 30mm × 20mm — it works with most desktop label printers.

Step 3 — Select products

Click Print in the top nav, then pick the products you want to print labels for. You can filter by collection, vendor, or tag.

Step 4 — Preview and print

A PDF preview opens in a new tab. Check the barcode is readable, then send to your printer.

Common issues

• Blank labels — the product has no barcode. Set one in Shopify admin under Products > Inventory.
• Barcode too small to scan — increase the label size, or switch to Code 128 from QR.
• Printer prints extra blank pages — your browser is adding a header/footer. Turn them off in print dialog.
