Scan and Print

What it does

Scan and Print lets you scan a product barcode and print its label right away. This is useful when you need to quickly print a label for a single product without searching through your product list.

How to use it

1. Go to the Home page of Barcode Man.
2. Click the Scan and print card. (This feature is not in the left sidebar — it is only on the home page.)
3. You will see a page with a barcode input field and a printing queue.
4. To scan a barcode:
   • Use a barcode scanner connected to your computer, or
   • Type the SKU or barcode number into the Enter SKU or Barcode text box
   • Click Enter or press Enter on your keyboard
5. The app will find the matching product and add it to the printing queue.
6. You can also click Select Product to manually pick a product from your store.
7. Choose a template from the Select a template dropdown at the top.
8. Click Generate labels to create and print the labels.

Click the Template Design tab to preview how the label will look with the selected template.

Good to know

• Scan and Print is only accessible from the home page card. It does not appear in the left sidebar navigation.
• The barcode input shows a “not ready” status indicator. Make sure your scanner is connected before scanning.
• You can use either the product’s SKU or barcode to search.
• After scanning, the product is added to the printing queue just like in the Product Label page.
• You can still use the Select Product button if you prefer to browse instead of scan.
