Import Lightning Inventory CSV (legacy)
Use the earlier Lightning Inventory CSV importer with product IDs, variant IDs, and quantities.
For the earlier BarcodeMan interface
This guide preserves an older workflow. For the current interface, start with the Help Center.
On this page
The earlier BarcodeMan interface has a dedicated Lightning Inventory CSV option under Product labels → Import. Use this guide when that option appears in your app.
Prepare the file
The original Lightning Inventory export format contains these columns:
| Column | Value |
|---|---|
product_id | The Shopify product ID |
variant_id | The Shopify variant ID |
quantity | The quantity for that variant |
Keep the header row and the exported identifiers. Product and variant IDs identify store records; product names or SKUs are different fields.
The earlier guide also allowed exports from other apps using this format. Check that the IDs belong to the Shopify store where you are printing.
Import and check the selection
- Export the file from Lightning Inventory.
- In BarcodeMan, open Product labels and choose your template.
- Select Import → Lightning Inventory CSV and upload the file.
- Check the selected variants and quantities before generating labels. Compare them with the export, especially when a row is missing or has an unexpected count.
Using the current interface
If your screen has Select → Upload CSV…, follow Upload products via CSV. Its lookup columns and upload limits differ from the earlier dedicated importer. Prepare the file for that uploader rather than assuming the original Lightning export can be used unchanged.
