Printer setup for multi-column label
Print a multi-column or 2-up label PDF at its full group size, including rows and gaps. Includes DYMO 30333 examples for Mac and Windows browsers.

Use this guide when you already have a generated multi-column label PDF ready to print. If you still need to select products and create the PDF, follow Print your first labels first.
Multi-column stock has several physical stickers in each repeating group. That can mean 1 row × 2 columns side by side or 2 rows × 1 column stacked vertically. See Label templates for diagrams.
Match the whole group, not one sticker
Choose a paper size that matches the complete PDF page and the intended repeating group on your label stock. Account for all rows and columns, plus the gaps and margins included in the template’s page layout.
Multiplying the number of columns by one sticker’s width is not a complete rule. It leaves out horizontal gaps and margins, and using one sticker’s height leaves out any additional rows and vertical spacing. Check the generated PDF’s page dimensions and your stock specifications together before choosing a custom size.
If your printer driver has a preset for the exact label product, use that preset and a matching template. Some media use a sensor mark or feed position that needs special handling; if the printer advances by the wrong amount or prints unexpected blank labels, follow Correct paper size for multi-column label.
Print dialog settings

Print the PDF
- Open the generated PDF in your browser or PDF viewer.
- Click the PDF’s Print icon or press Ctrl+P / Cmd+P.
- Select the printer loaded with your labels.
- Select the paper preset for your stock. If the browser does not show the needed controls, open the system print dialog. If no suitable preset exists, see Customized paper size in printer dialog.
- Set the scale to 100% or Actual size, check the orientation, and remove added margins where the dialog allows it.
- Check that the preview contains every label in the group. Print a small sample before printing the whole batch.

DYMO 30333 example
The six walkthroughs below use DYMO 30333 stock. On the macOS driver shown, its paper-size preset is named 30333 1/2 in x 1 in (2 up) 25 by 25 mm (sometimes displayed as 25 x 25mm). The Windows walkthroughs select 30333. These are driver preset names for that stock, not dimensions to apply to every multi-column roll. Choose them only when you are using the matching labels.

Portrait is the orientation shown in the Windows 30333 examples; use the orientation appropriate to your own PDF and stock.
Common issues
- Only one column or row prints: compare the full PDF page size with the selected paper size. A single-sticker preset can crop a multi-label group. Also check scale and orientation.
- Labels within the group are misaligned: compare the template’s rows, columns, individual label dimensions, gaps, and margins with the actual stock.
- Content is cut off on one side: check the paper size, orientation, scaling, added browser margins, and the printer’s printable area.
- The feed drifts between groups or produces blank labels: check the stock preset and printer media settings, then use Correct paper size for multi-column label for sensor-related layouts.
