Metafield not showing on label

Cause: The metafield is not set on the product, or the wrong metafield is selected.

How to fix it

First check that the affected product or variant has a metafield value in your store admin. A definition without an item value prints blank.

Select the element and set Link To to METAFIELD_PRODUCT or METAFIELD_VARIANT, matching where the value is stored.
In Metafield → Enter namespace.key, select the correct namespace.key from Available metafields….
Use Try again for a loading error. If the loaded list is empty, check the definitions for the selected owner type.

Select the element and set Link To to METAFIELD_PRODUCT or METAFIELD_VARIANT, matching where the value is stored.
In Metafield → Enter namespace and key, check the complete typed value, such as custom.material.
Correct typos or an old namespace/key. Enter the key, not the metafield’s display name.

Generate a label for the affected item again. Product metafields and variant metafields are separate, even if their keys look the same.
